Queerology presents What Have You Done For Me Lately? An exhibition that draws attention to the issue of allyship that becomes a staple of conversations around queer identity. Themes addressed by the artists include emotional labour, performative allyship, laying claim to a label and taking up space, sexual violence and supporting survivors.
The exhibition asked the viewer to engage directly with the issues and the works themselves with its largely interactive nature presenting you with the possibility to add to some pieces and, in some cases, to take parts of the piece away.
Artists:
Naomi Gilby
Nicole Murmann
Kit Day
Polly Spanner
JJ William
Luna Morgana
What Have You Done For Me Lately? included a panel discussion and zine making workshop at The Tetley as well as a trans and non-binary private view of the exhibition.
Queerology also produced a zine exhibition publication to accompany the show, this is available at specific events in person for a donation or free download online.
