Queerology is an artist-led project based in Leeds.
It started life as two sibling exhibitions of queer art in Leeds instigated by the celebration of the 50th anniversary of homosexuality being decriminalised in England (1967 - 2017)
This presented us with the opportunity to combine the celebration of this historic milestone with conversations about current issues through the work of LGBT+ and Queer artists in and around Leeds.
We are dedicated to promoting and platforming queer art and artists in Leeds, particularly Trans and Non-Binary people.
Since this Queerology has become a group of artists who enjoy working together, making art and being all round creative types.
In February 2018 we came 3rd place for Best Event at The Owlie Awards - Leeds LGBT+ Community Awards.
